A 2-CD set French audiobook. Read by Jacques Pradel in French, Le Mythe de Sisyphe was written by Albert CAMUS during World War II, in 1942. The disruption of the first half of the century deeply modified the roots of European thinking. Albert Camus was part of this new order. His position was particular : the sense of the absurd led him to proud and exacting renouncement. This position was the result of much reflection. When he finnished writing Le Mythe de Sisyphe, Camus noted : Ended with Sisyphe. The three Absurds are completed. Beginning of freedom. The two others Absurds being L’Etranger and Caligula (both edited by Frémeaux & Associés with Camus himself reading at the National Radio, under numbers 5052 and 5067). Pardon ‘was’ ma faute. Faut mettre en prétérit (passé terminé ‘first half of the century’)
