This explosive live Popa Chubby album was originally issued in 1999 as a collectors' Limited Edition in a special digipak sleeve. It has been unavailable since then, but due to continued public demand, it has now been reissued - this time in a standard jewel case.
This is the big man in his element - loud, raw and direct - recorded live in his home town, New York City of course, on May 29th 1999, with his band: Kris Jefferson on bass and Paul Richards, drums; and they serve up a classic set of hard, driving modern blues, mixed with rock, rap, soul, and rock 'n' roll. Popa Chubby, alias Ted Horovitz, released this album after his first "Presents The New York City Blues" recording (DFGCD 8490) and 6 months before his highly acclaimed, ground-breaking studio album "How'd a White Boy Get The Blues" (DFGCD 8500). |
