This is the thirteenth release in DANACORD's long-running series, bringing together highlights recorded live at the annual Husum Festival, in this case the 2001 event. Rarities include pieces by two Croatiancomposers, and two 'Homenages' by the distinguished Dutch pianist Cor de Groot- all first recordings. Soloists include Chilean virtuoso Alfredo Perl, and the young Italian Giovanni Bellucci, whose debut ASSAI disc of Beethoven and Liszt (207142) caused a sensation on its release in 1999. |
