After a year's absence down to licensing reasons, the phenomenally successful Buddha Bar collection is now available again.

Claude Challe had cut his teeth in many different countries, cultures and walks of life.  By the time he arrived at the newly-opened Buddha Bar, he had already been an influential DJ at the Bains Douches nightclub and had three luxury-packaged and -priced compilation sets to his name (Bains Douches, Loverdose and Flying Carpet).  By the time Buddha bar was released, punters in this country were really beginning to get the hang of this outlandish DJ, certainly no spring chicken like the others, mixing Oriental, Asian, Jewish and Arabic sounds.  These might sound commonplace now, but four years ago, it was totally original.

Claude and the Buddha Bar parted company with the legacy of the first two volumes to attest to a collaboration of real excitement.  Buddha Bar have since released 3 volumes and a number of spin-off titles, but it will always be the early volumes which will excite.
