Massive, massive, massive in France but, as is often the case for French artists, not much of a following over here.

At Discovery, we have had all of Pagny's albums and it was his 1996 studio album 'Bienvenue chez moi' which caused some interest and became a regular seller. On the back of this, we had some success too with the next title, 'Savoir aimer'.

This new album, 'Ailleurs land' being a pun for 'Ireland', is a collection of well-crafted big ballads with a decent rock heritage behind them. Totally acceptable stuff here; transcend the language barrier (which is happening much more these days) and you will find a good listen.
