“Contatto” is Fiamma's first solo album. With theseeleven songs, the young Italian ‘Emilian’ singer shows her remarkable vocalqualities and her direct, individual approach. She is on tour in the UK in early March with acclaimed singer-songwriterAdam Masterson, as part of the European Roadworks Tour.  She previously acheived success in theelectro World fusion band, Fiamma Fumana, who released a highly successfulalbum, especially in the US, in 1999. They also have a new album ready.
 
On this solo recording, she had her Fiamma Fumana travelmates by her side: the versatile Lady Jessica Lombardi, on bass and Emilian bagpipes; the Italian-Eritrean deejay Medhin Paolos; and the accordionist (plus piano and acoustic guitar) Alberto Cottica. This lineup weaves warm acoustic threads, as well as inventive electronica. The result is a strange sound,  modern & subtly technical yet soft and intimate. Other guests include singer songwriter Cristina Donŕ  (soon to have a brilliant album released on Rykodisc) who sings in Japanese with Fiamma on "Non c'č tempo”.
 
Fiammahas also worked with DJ Santos, a friend and collaborator with FatboySlim.  She has also sung with UK femaleduo Pooka, Welsh singer-songwriter Brychan, & UK duo Ben & Jason.
