Remastered original Mancini soundtrack for Orson Welles film. The movie has become something of a cult classic over a period of time ...... a restored and re-edited version was released in 1998. Mancini's first major score, it was an integral part of the film's atmosphere: rather than serve as background the music emanated from jukeboxes, radios etc. in the Mexican border town setting. Among notable jazz musicians featured in the orchestra were Pete Candoli, Red Norvo and Barney Kessel. |
