This mid price CD begins with a phenomenal quartet studio recording with trombonist Frank Rosolino & pianist Sonny Clark made in Hollywood in 1956. It moves on to four studio sessions with Rosolino & Charlie Mariano :

1^st a 1957 LA date where they are joined by Lou Levy, Max Bennett & Lawrence Marable. Next an earlier LA studio session in 1953 with Stu & Claude Williamson, Bennett & Levy and the same line up in LA for 3 tracks in 1955. Finally, a 55 session where they are joined by Conte Candoli, Jimmy Giuffre, Bill Holman and Bobby Scott.
