In addition to the outstanding 1958 Modern Art session with Farmer, Evans & Benny Golson - this CD boasts 2 exciting studio dates with vibes player Teddy Charles and Anthony Ortega respectively. The Charles recording also in 1958 includes Bob Brookmeyer, Zoot Sims & Ed Thigpen.

The Ortega session was recorded in late 58/early 59 and features a fascinating line-up of instruments :flute, French horn, clarinet, bassoon & violin.
