Iranian percussionist Bijan, from the well known Chemirani musical family, has previously collaborated with Ross Daly and now teams up with Cretan instrumentalist Stelios Petrakis for an album soaked in the musical history of the Aegean area and beyond. Their own songs, played on an array of instruments, but notably zarb and lyre….. with vocals from Maria Simoglou.
