Here we have French aristocrat Madeleine de Valmalète (1899-1999), with recordings made over a period of 64 years, ranging from the first ever recording of Ravel’s ‘Tombeau de Couperin’, to Mozart’s last piano sonata, recorded in 1992 and released here for the first time.
