“Praying Time “ is a fine compilation of classic, soulful Gospel by one of the greatest and longest lasting vocal spiritual groups of all time, The Blind Boys of Alabama, formed in 1939. The carefully chosen material is from their mid to late 1990’s recordings, following their first Grammy Nomination in 1992 (They won awards in 2001 and 2002). Last year their collaboration with rock singer-songwriter Ben Harper on his “There is A Light” album received international attention and critical acclaim for the group.
