Powerful voiced gospel-trained singer with the Joe Morris band. Some of these songs rode high on the Rhythm & Blues chart….pop and soul melodies which pre-dated the mass exposure of black music to a white teenage audience. Faye Adams’ career was fairly short. The Church was always in her voice and eventually claimed back her heart….she turned her back on secular music for good in 1962.
