Bayashi are an exciting free jazz trio and their first album "Help Is On Its Way" came out in 2003 on the Swedish Ayler label. Their new album "Rock", on Jazzaway Records, was recorded live in Oslo in the spring of 2004 and was bassist Bjørnar Andresens last live perfomance. "Rock" is a powerful and beautiful album that captures the true spirit of free jazz.

Bayashi are: legendary bassist Bjørnar Andresen - who passed away in 2004, and was also featured on Jazzmob’s "Pathfinder" album, and the "Crimetime Orchestra" CD; saxophonist Vidar Johansen (also on "Crimetime Orchestra"; and Thomas Strønen (of Trinity) on drums.
