One of the great fraternal duos in country music….the Delmores formed the template, both musical and emotional, for the Louvins and then the Everly Brothers. An unharmonious relationship off-stage, when they were constantly feudin’ and fightin’, was in sharp contrast to their sublime vocal harmonies and perfectly synchronised guitar picking. An unconscious fusion of white gospel, blues, Appalachian ballads and pop tunes gave them many hits in the ‘30s and ‘40s and left a lasting influence on American music.

The 36 tracks on this 2CD set (they cut well over 200 songs ) span a 20 year recording career…from sentimental old-timey airs to hillbilly boogie.
