The 3 Ferret brothers - Sarane, Baro and the youngest, Matelo - were central figures in the history of Gypsy jazz. They all served an apprenticeship accompanying Django Reinhardt, and later had careers of theirs own. On these 1965-66 Paris recordings Baro (solo guitar) and Matelo (rhythm guitar) are joined by 5 other gipsy swing colleagues on 2nd rhythm guitar, vibes, organ, bass & drums for a fine, inventive session of Baro Ferret compositions plus a previously unissued waltz composed by Django.
