Garrett Wall is an Irish singer-songwriter who has lived and worked in Madrid since 1999. Gravity is his third album - and his most satisfying work to date : a highly accessible, stylistic hybrid of memorable, self-composed songs blending contemporary folk with a soft but edgy rock-pop - plus thoughtful, revealing lyrics, compelling vocals and an excellent, well-balanced production. The album, recorded in Madrid with local session musicians, includes an extra Spanish version (Los Dias) of the opening number These Days, plus a bonus track, Superhero Sometimes, recorded at a radio session for Galway FM.
Wall’s debut album All of the Above was released in1994 on Stark Records, and issued in Slovenia, Korea and Ireland. It highlighted Wall's acoustic approach to songwriting and brought him critical acclaim and media attention especially in his native Ireland. In 1997 Wall moved on to an rockier and more dynamic, electric sound with Change (K-Tel Records), an album scoring him two Irish radio hits and a no.21 placing on the Irish Chart in 1998 - leading to a series of prestigious concerts in Holland, France, Spain, Poland, New York City and Toronto.
Apart from his work as songwriter and artist Wall has flourished in Spain as top session singer in the Spanish advertising industry where his voice has been featured in many of the nations leading advertising campaigns leading to a number of commercial releases of the very songs he has popularised.
