For many years, Aksak members have devoted their energies to Balkan music. They have devised a stage show which is a tribute to poet/traveller Nicolas Bouvier and this new album was inspired by his photographs. With an array of both Western and Eastern instruments, Aksak embark on a musical expedition in Bouvier’s footsteps…. from Yugoslavia to Turkey, via Greece, Rumania, Bulgaria.
