Another invaluable document in the CLAVES ‘Chronos’ historic series, this disc unites two performances, recorded live in Geneva’s Victoria Hall, by legendary violinist Christian Ferras, whose career was tragically cut short by alcoholism and nervous depression, causing his death in 1982 at the age of only 49. Although he made many studio recordings, neither of these 20th century masterpieces was amongst them.
