This fifth release on the excellent Mark Swartzentruber’s very own label follows previous discs devoted to Scarlatti, Beethoven, Schumann and Haydn, to bring us this well-planned and attractive Debussy recital. In common with an increasing number of talented pianists (at least, those not under contract to Steinway!) he uses a Fazioli instrument, and achieves highly atmospheric results – definitely different!
