Solid! is one of Norway’s premiere organ trios, comprising three of the country’s finest young players. They were voted “Young Jazz Musicians of 2002” by the Norwegian Jazz Forum and Institute. They also won the 3 prizes in the Getxo International Jazz Contest in Spain in 2003. This is their debut album.

The trio’s repertoire consists mainly of compositions by guitarist Bjørn Vidar Solli and organist Daniel Formo, and combines hard swinging jazz with more open and subtle soundscapes – but all involving strong, exciting improvisations and interplay, underpinned by Håkon Mjåset Johansen’s driving percussion.
