Not many contemporary composers write for windup music box (Tom Sora punches his compositions into the playback roll by hand!), so this disc probably merits the overused description ‘unique’. The results are certainly unusual, as are the keyboard pieces which make up the rest of the CD, with amazing virtuosity - must be heard to be believed!
