For their second album, Luke took prolonged residence in Brazil, where a mixture of local culture, relaxation and travel crises contributed inspiration and atmosphere to the creative process.

Returning back to base in Denmark the field recordings were fine-tuned and string arrangements performed by the Royal Danish Orchestra were added. The album ‘Guaritiba’ is the culmination of these inputs, delivering 12 tracks travelling adventurously in a unique and special pop ambience, carrying as baggage references to electro, dub and lounge.

The driving machine of the band is the sympathy between vocalist Tanja Thulau and the musical generation of her longtime professional partner Nikolaj Grandjean. The musical symbiosis between the two of them is very apparent on ‘Guaritiba’. The 12 tracks on the record exude intimacy, with subtle use of vocal effects, harder beats and big strings.
