Tears for Fears have experienced a massive return to form. Having dominated early eighties pop charts with singles like Mad World, Everybody wants to rule the world and Shout, and the albums The Hurting and Songs from the big chair, Tears for Fears set an indelible mark upon a generation.More recent events saw the use of a cover version of Mad World on the now cult sci-fi movie Donnie Darko, which led on to the Gary Jules Christmas no.1 success with the title. Gut Records then took on the new studio album from the duo, and Tears for Fears released Everybody loves a happy ending in 2005 and embarked on a European tour under the same banner. The album cuught on so well in France that Tears for Fears played to a crowd of 35,000 in the Parisian stadium Parc des Princes, the former home of French international Football and Rugby. French TV company Europe2 was on hand to film the concert and the effect is spectacular, as witnessed here. Featured here are 9 songs from the concert, using the same running order for both the CD and DVD. On the audio version, two unreleased studio songs are included as well as a radio edit of Secret World.
