So far, ARBITER’s mining of musical archives has concentrated on piano music. Here, for a change, is a tribute to the remarkable violinist Arnold Rosé, who as concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic for over 50 years, played under Brahms, Bruckner, Mahler (he married the composer’s sister Justine), Richard Strauss and many others.
