Multi-instrumentalist Bob Enevoldsen graduated from second clarinet in the Salt Lake City Symphony orchestra to become a popular session man on the mid ‘50s Hollywood jazz scene. Also a gifted arranger, for these recordings he put together a versatile ensemble which included musicians who, like him, could double up on other instruments. Each composition was carefully arranged and rehearsed and the group gets a unique sound with these instrumental combinations: Bob Enevoldsen (valve trombone/ tenor sax/ bass), Marty Paich (piano/accordion/organ), Larry Bunker (vibes/piano/drums), Howard Roberts (guitar), Red Mitchell (bass/piano), Don Heath (drums).
