Over almost four decades, The Gladiators have proved one of the most durable bands in Reggae history, and this CD and DVD package of their October 2000 concert at the Elysee Montmatre, Paris, shows them at their pulsating, ‘roots-rock’ best. Fronted as always by singer, songwriter & founder member, Albert Griffiths they present 12 well-known Gladiators tracks including “Bongo Red”, "Head to My Toe", "Look is Deceiving," and "Big Fish," plus a bonus track version of Bob Marley’s “Soul Rebel”.

Formed in 1968, The Gladiators soon became one of Jamaica’s best loved bands - recording for many of the main labels : Coxsone, Studio One, Duke Reid, etc and enjoying a long run of hit singles. They also worked with Lee Scratch Perry, before signing to Virgin Records in the UK, in 1976. They have continued to record and tour successfully from then until now.
