The title of young Norwegian pianist Gunilla Süssmann’s first solo CD is inspired by her lifetime quest for “the one colour that had no name, the one that no-one had ever seen”. This yearning, a search for something ‘beyond’, clearly influenced her choice of composers and works for the programme of this disc, and the word well describes her very individual way with the music of Scriabin and Rachmaninov.
