Second album from Brazilian, Carla Alexandar. Arriving in Europe from a career in Rio de Janeiro as actress, dancer and backing vocalist for Jorge Ben, Carla is now settled in Copenhagen.

With an eye on the exploding Brazilian hiphop scene, Carla draws rhyming inspiration from her samba roots, hence the title: SAMBAMUFFIN.

Based around a mix of Carla’s portuguese rhymes and poetry, live samples, funky beats and samba melodies. Produced by Danish DJ Schack, an impressive list of guests appear on the album.. The ingredients are Brazilian percussion from Rio’s Mestre Markinhos, tablas from London based world star Pete Lockett and production from drum’n’bossa’s inventor Marcelinho Dalua (Bossacucanova).
