Ronnie Barker at the more shocking end of the spectrum…
Set in a mock Tudor mansion using a Cluedo-style houseparty, where lust and gluttony rather than murder are the crime. The film, and the values, belong firmly to the decade of creation (the Seventies) and look somewhat dated, but represent nonetheless an interesting period document. Mouch in the swing of Eric Sykes’ ‘The Plank’ and peter Sellers’ ‘Running, jumping & standing still’. A bit like the Ealing Comedies; if you like ‘em, you love ‘em. |
