This reissue of a 1987 Odin album is a valuable documentation of Norwegian jazz, featuring Bjørn Johansen, one of Norway’s most prominent tenor sax players for several decades, together with the all-star Cedar Walton Trio : Cedar Walton – piano, David Williams - bass and Billy Higgins – drums. This recording came about much in the same way as a jazz solo is created – spontaneously and in full stride. In the course of five hours, including rehearsals, this set was recorded - and includes 2 Walton originals plus pieces by Monk, Rollins, Dizzy Gillespie – and ‘Body & Soul’.
