Soledad Bravo is one of Latin America’s outstanding singers. Her exquisite, expressive voice can be heard on 30 albums, covering an extraordinary varied programme. Though raised in Venezuela, she is Spanish by birth and this album is dedicated to the Judeo-Andalucian tradition of Sephardic song. Adapting her voice to the techniques of a centuries old art, she created a beautiful and timeless record which, when first released in 1980, won the prestigious French award Prix de l’Academie Charles Cros.
