New release on the famous Joe Gibbs label by ‘lost legend’ Sylford Walker who was born in 1957 in St Andrews, Jamaica and made some classic singles in the late 70’s, including “Lambsbread”, mixed by King Tubby. Sylford was rediscovered in 2004 and made a number of concert appearances including the Montreux Jazz Festival. This new release “Nutin Na Gwan” includes new and 70’s recordings and features a star-studded line-up including Sly & Robbie, Tommy McCook, Lloyd Parks, Ossie Hibbert, etc. Some of Walker’s original Glen Brown produced material was reissued on Greensleeves in 1990, and on a Blood & Fire CD in 2000, with King Tubby dub versions.
