Norway’s answer to the Quintette du Hot Club began as a trio and became a foursome in 1979 when joined by the veteran jazz violinist Ivar Brodhal. These tracks have been selected from recordings made during the seven years that Brodhal was a member of the group which over a long period has single-mindedly and adventurously helped keep alive the spirit of Django.
