| Reissue of this tribute to Oscar Alemán, recorded in 1997 on which Walter Malosetti leads Ricardo Pellican, Hector Lopez-Fürst, Chachi Zaragoza, & Jon Larsen on a selection of material associated with the legendary Argentinean guitarist, who was a year older than Django Reinhardt, and played in an almost identical style. He lived in Paris from 1931 to ’41 during which time he performed frequently and recorded regularly, including sessions with Bill Coleman. |
