Back in 1990 Jorun Bogeberg was hired to play bass on the album “East of the Sun West of the Moon” by Norway’s most famous pop group Aha and subsequently toured as a member of their backing band. Since then his session credits have ranged from Norwegian prog-rock to Americana balladeer Tom Russell and he puts all of this experience to use on this, only his second CD release. The result is a display of high class musicianship on a set of atmospheric story-songs often half spoken/half sung and owing as much to the USA’s indie country scene as to Scandinavian pop.
