Urban Tunélls Klezmerband are a Norwegian band who give new life to an old tradition, klezmer music. The four experienced musicians do so with passion, energy and their own idiosyncratic style with Morten Michelsen, clarinet, Jovan Pavlovic, accordion, Tor-Petter Aanes, piano & vocals, and Sondre Meisfjord, double bass. They also play the klezmer music with respect and awareness of the cultural legacy - the boundaries of their influences stretching from Eastern Europe, to the Middle East and Asia. The music can also move from warm-hearted vigour to tender, reflective sadness. All material was composed by the band.
