Barbara Lahr is the German performance artist who sang on the first DePhazz album, “Detunized Gravity” from which emanated several down-tempo classics. She’s a striking vocalist, switching from sinister voice-over to soul power in the blink of an eye and although Undo Undo borrows across the board from contemporary styles – nu jazz to trip hop – its ultimately in a class and a classification all of its own.
