A reissue of Claude Bolling’s 1977 collaboration with celebrated violinist Pinchas Zukerman, which takes the form of a Suite for Violin, in 8 sections (Romance, Caprice, Gavotte, Tango, Valse Lente, etc) all composed by Bolling, who leads his own piano trio with Max Hediguer on bass and Marcel Sabiani on drums. Zukerman had made his name with Leonard Bernstein & the New York Philharmonic in the late 60’s, when he was seen by many as the natural successor to Yehudi Menuhin.
