Sainkho’s remarkable vocalizations have taken the Tuvan overtone singing style far beyond traditional boundaries and opened up for her an experimental creative world of electronica, free improvisation, film and performance art.

She began to feel an instinctive affinity between an ancient, mysterious, pagan Ireland and her own historic roots in the steppes of Tuva and so this project was born. Roy Carroll’s electronics provide the background sound effects while Sainkho’s voice takes us on a journey into the mystic past, detouring through the primal land of the subconscious. About as far removed from any other “celtic connections” CD as its possible to imagine.
