Two early albums by Creole-born Juan Pablo Torres - probably the best Latin Jazz trombonist of the modern era. The complete original LPs featured are: “Con Todos los Hierros” and “Súper-son” (both 1977 recordings). Both LP's were originally produced, arranged and directed by Torres with his group Algo Nuevo, which included : Alberto Lara "El Trompetica" (tp); Jesús Rubalcaba (p, keyboards); Antonio "Tony" Pérez (b); Filiberto Sánchez (d), and Modesto Fusté (perc). 20 tracks - Total Time: 66:36

The new Malanga label was established to uncover outstanding rare Cuban recordings, locked away in vaults collecting dust - and two years of extensive investigation in Havana's Areíto studio archives have brought many gems to light.
