Larry Crockett is an internationally renowned drummer, currently on tour in Eric Bibb’s band, who has played & recorded with a vast range of headline acts over the years, including : the Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Elton John, Dakota Staton, Liz McComb, Sonny Landreth, Popa Chubby, etc, etc.

“My Wish” is his second ‘solo’ album and has a great jazzy soul groove throughout, with special guests: Eric Bibb, Popa Chubby, vocalist Penny Wells and guitarist Billy Hector. Larry takes lead vocals on 8 songs, and 12 of the 15 tracks are Crockett compositions. Plus there’s a cover of Sister Sledge’s “We are Family”; a tongue-in-cheek, reggae version of ‘Davy Crockett’ with new lyrics; and a rockin' rap tune called “The Game” featuring Ali-Mu, a young rising rap star who happens to be Larry's cousin. The album also features Larry’s regular rhythm-section partners & top Motown session-men : bassist Daryl Smith and pianist/ keyboards player Al McKenzie, who also produced the album.

Larry is also an in-demand teacher, tutor, and session man for audio & TV recording; and a song-writer & composer, who leads his own ward-winning group ‘Crock Pott’ (one of his nick-names); plus he’s written a number of drum tutorial books - including one called “Sex & Drumming” ! - and a best-seller called “101 Keys to Success in Music and in Life”, for which this album is not a bad advert !
