· Austrian hurdy-gurdy player Matthias Loibner joins percussionist Tunji Beier (from a Papua New Guinea, & Nigerian upbringing) for a cutting edge recording of duets - both making full, but subtle use of electronics & ‘live looping’. Both have worked together since 1995; & as a duo since 2001.
· a fine example of how a truly experimental collaboration can produce an extremely accessible recording. Beier’s influences include African (Yoruba), South Indian, Middle Eastern and jazz; while Loibner brings his background in European Folk, classical and African (Buganda) traditions.
