· Originally a 2002 release on Charles’ own Crossover label, this album is almost completely composed, arranged and produced (with Charles) by Billy Osborne (Jeffrey Osborne’s brother and a former member of LTD).
· Ray is in good voice and plays piano, and there’s a modern, light electro-urban funk feel to the backing - but the rather synthetic production will probably not be to the taste of many of his soul / R&B fans - although Jack Wargo takes a nice bluesy guitar solo on track 8.
· There is a song partly in French, a memorable number called Mother written by Osborne and yet another remake of "What'd I Say" (the one track produced by Jerry Hey) which doesn’t really match the spontaneity of the original - but it’s a pleasing enough album in its way.
