· Featured musicians (many from the Basie band) on the 1st date include : Emmett Berry (tp), Earle Warren (saxes, cl), Buddy Tate (ts), Dickie Wells (tb), Sir Charles Thompson (p), Gene Ramey (b), Oliver Jackson (d) & Jimmy Witherspoon (vc).

· On the 2nd concert, Buck is joined by: Vic Dickenson (tb), Big Joe Turner (vc), plus Humphrey Lyttelton and his band. Total DVD Time: 93 min. B&W / Mono.

· Born in Kansas City, Wilbur Dorsey "Buck" Clayton (1911-1991) is one of the best-remembered swing trumpeters of all time. Although he began his musical career in Kansas, he left the USA in 1934 to live and play in Shanghai. He was probably the first important jazz artist to gain renown in China.

· Clayton returned to America before WW2 and replaced Hot Lips Page as the principal trumpeter of the Basie orchestra – where he stayed for many years, while also playing & recording with small groups under his own name.
