· The combined musical CVs of these four musicians would fill many pages. Guitarist Tony Marshall has worked with Scott Hamilton, Warren Vache, Art Themen, Alan Barnes, Roy Williams, Ray Ellington, etc....

· Trumpeter Bruce Adams has for many years been a key member of the Alan Barnes group; as well as with the BBC Big Band, the Scottish Radio Orchestra, etc.

· Bassist Spike Heatley’s musical partners over a long career include Tubby Hayes, Ronnie Scott, Helen Merrill, John Dankworth, Maynard Ferguson, Kenny Baker and many, many more.

· Drummer Malcolm Mortimore is of a slightly younger vintage, but equally admired and with a long list of credits including : Ian Dury, Gentle Giant, Frankie Miller, Herbie Flowers, Chris Jagger & Big Jim Sullivan - to name but a few.

· This new studio recording is a fine example of a tight, swinging, melodic, bop-based session by a top-quality British quartet.
