· Yorkshire-born vocalist Jill Cook has been a well-known performer on the London area jazz scene since 2001. This is her second album - her first "Sometime Ago" was released in 2003.

· “Something Cool” features top UK musicians : trumpeter Steve Waterman & tenor sax player Tim Whitehead, plus a fine piano trio : Nick Tomalin, Arnie Somogyi & Paul Cavaciuti.

· The album’s a collection of a dozen of her favourite songs - jazz, pop & songbook standards - all given an engaging, swinging treatment - led by Jill’s mellow, expressive voice. She did many of the arrangements herself.
