· Edyta Geppert is one of Poland’s best-known singers - a committed, emotional performer, sometimes compared to Edith Piaf. On this new album, she is joined by Kroke, the internationally successful Polish-Jewish group who combine klezmer music with jazz, world music, folk & classical to create their own unique style.

· Together they perform spirited versions of songs by a selection of famous Polish artists & musicians - including the film composer Jerzy Satanowski; the Klezmer legend Leopold Kozlowski and popular singers Marek Grechuta and Katarzyna Gaertner.

· Kroke (which means “Cracow” in Yiddish) have recorded 7 acclaimed albums, played hundreds of concerts, and collaborated with Peter Gabriel and Nigel Kennedy. Their music features in the soundtrack of David Lynch’s newest film, “Inland Empire”.

· Kroke were formed in 1992 by a trio of lifelong friends who had graduated from the Cracow Music Academy: Tomasz Lato (double bass), Tomasz Kukurba (alto sax) and Jerzy Bawoł (accordion). In 2004, they became a quartet, with percussionist Tomasz Grochot joining the group.
