• In Paranoid Park, the story of a teenage skateboarder accidentally getting into deep trouble, music is an omnipresent backdrop, and the director's choices strengthen the film's more contrived techniques (slow-motion, use of super 8, video) and fit in well with to its floating rhythm and melancholy spirit.
