· Laid Back are on the scene again. The artists behind the club anthem ’White Horse’ back in 1984, a synth-funk anti-drug song, warning of the dangers of abuse. This catapulted Laid Back into the charts all over Europe and into the emerging club scene. Their position there was further firtified by the hits ’Sunshine Reggae’ and the collaboration with Shaun Baker on ’Bakerman’.

· So now for a new album; stripped of emotional content, the songs are deliberately presented in a monochrome-dry vocal style of complete understatement. Numbers like ’Happy Dreamer’ and ’Beautiful Day’ are given their trademark ’less is more’ treatment; the result is serious and yet intensely humourous.
